Day 49: Hold Fast Your Profession

November 1, 2024

Hebrews 10:22-24

"Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:"

Welcome to The Turnaround’s 52 Days of Prayer

Introduction

Welcome to Day 49. Today we hold tight to a Faithful and Trustworthy God who washed our sinful hearts clean! Let us approach God today with sincerity and confidence to know that he is answering our prayers.

Insight

There are a few things I want you to take away from today. Remain strong, always choose the right path, and see it through. Never give up, stay true, and keep believing that this, too, shall pass. Maintain your determination. Don’t lose hope in the assurance that the one and only True God Almighty will fulfill His promises, just as He has done in the past. Remember that Jesus has already paid the price, so don’t grow weary while waiting on God. God is not like one of us, He doesn’t lie. While someone might fail you, God cannot.

Approach God with a sincere heart. This passage advises us to approach God with honesty and complete trust, knowing that Christ’s blood has cleansed our guilty conscience and pure water has cleansed our bodies.

Embrace hope. The passage encourages us to hold firmly to the hope we profess, knowing that God is faithful to His promises.

Support one another. We need to inspire one another to perform acts of love and good deeds.

Turnaround Questions

What are some times that God has shown himself faithful to you? What are ways that you can remain hopeful no matter what your circumstances are?  How can you encourage others around you to have a faith that is unwavering? What are acts of love you can do for those around you and those you meet? Why is it important to encourage those around you?

Prayer

Father God, the Creator of all things, we come to you with sincere hearts, asking for your help in believing that you can and will do all things well. As we continue to face challenging times, let us remember to look to the hills from which our help comes, as it comes from the Lord. While life’s situations may surprise us, they do not surprise You. Please continue to cover us with Your love so that we do not let the cares of this world cause us to doubt Your Word. Instead, let us hold fast and wait on You for strength, keeping our faith strong in You. May we not allow anything or anyone to shake our faith in You. In the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen.
