Introduction

What a Word! Your name will endure forever! Children, not yet born, will know and praise you, God!

Insight

All throughout the Old Testament, we see how God works through generations. We might see it spread out within YEARS, but there is nothing God does that goes without purpose. When we read the Old Testament, we believe His words. So, let’s turn that towards the future because the future is in His hands as well. The future generation needs to know who God is and praise His Mighty name. His name remains forever. We need a future generation that will be Christian leaders that are not afraid to praise Him on the mountain tops and the valleys.

We, as the older generations, we need to teach them, with wisdom, what it means to be a disciple of Christ and chase after Him whole heartily. We might look at what Solomon says in proverbs, “train up a child in a way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it.” That is proof right there within one verse God works through generations. No, they may not be your own children, but you can still have an impact on the next generation.

Turnaround Question

How will you be a person who lives by the spirit and not your flesh to lead the future generation to Praise God?

God’s plans span generations, what will you do to serve your community and teach the new generations about our God.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we praise you. We thank you for who you are. We thank you for loving us right where we are. God thank you for working through generations as you did with Abraham. God, we ask that you continue within us so the generations yet unborn will know and praise your gracious name. Go before us and open the hearts of those unborn to receive you will full surrender to You. God, we thank you and we love you. We pray all of this in your holy name. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
