Welcome to The Turnaround!
Introduction
Today’s devotion focuses on the powerful message found in Matthew 6:10, “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” This verse calls us to actively bring God’s presence into our everyday lives, sharing our faith with others and recognizing the little miracles He performs each day. By doing so, we align ourselves with God’s will and become vessels of His love and grace.
Insight
Matthew 6:10 says, “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” This verse reminds us that we are called to bring God’s presence into our daily lives, striving to share our faith outwardly and recognizing the little miracles He performs every day.
Psalm 124 beautifully complements this message by acknowledging God’s protection and deliverance. It says, “If the Lord had not been on our side… the flood would have engulfed us, the torrent would have swept over us.” Just as God delivered the Israelites, He continues to work in our lives, often in ways we might overlook. Each day is filled with His grace and small miracles that affirm His presence among us.
Similarly, in Daniel 6, we see Daniel’s unwavering faith even when faced with the lions’ den. Daniel’s trust in God and his commitment to prayer, despite the decree against it, led to a miraculous deliverance. This story encourages us to remain steadfast in our faith and to outwardly live it, trusting that God is with us and working through us.
By living out our faith and being attentive to the daily miracles, we bring a piece of heaven to earth. We become vessels of God’s will, spreading His love and grace in our communities. Let us strive to see His hand in every moment and share His goodness with those around us. If we live as though we have a life worth dying for, we set an example for those who don’t know Him and also everyone around us. It draws people to see all those little blessing and embrace the presence of God. Wouldn’t that make all the difference in the world?
Turnaround Question
How can you actively bring God’s presence into your daily life and recognize the small miracles He performs around you?
Jesus is teaching us how to pray. Clearly Jesus has a desire for God’s Will to be mirrored here on earth. How are you teaching your children the importance of following God’s Will in a World so full of sin?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your constant presence in our lives. Help us to see and appreciate the small miracles You perform each day. Guide us to live out our faith boldly, sharing Your love and grace with those around us. Help us to stand on Your truth and impact those around us. Give us the strength to outwardly share our faith in order to grow Your kingdom. Lord, we fully surrender to You. We aren’t perfect or deserving yet You use us anyway and give more than we need. Thank You for surrounding us with blessings. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in our lives, just as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
