Welcome to the Turnaround!
Introduction
With the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ we entered into a new covenant with God our Father, a new promise that God made with Himself since there was no one greater to make this new promise with. Hebrews 6:13-14 For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.” We do not beg for God to do something He has already made clear are His plans, but we align ourselves with this new promise. We deliver this message of being cleansed from all sin to young minds hungry for hope and freedom from the bondage of a world held captive by their separation from God.
Devotion
I have lived most of my life worrying about my sin, a focus on something that God has resolved with the blood of Christ. Our sins are not covered with this blood-they are TAKEN AWAY.
Forgotten. Every single one of them are gone.
Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities I will remember no more.” It’s as if they never happened. This message of “we are cleansed of all sin” is the essence of the Gospel.
It’s not just good news, IT’S THE BEST NEWS!
God is not angry with us. When we speak to our Father with one voice and agree with His plans for the future of His bride (including our children), we introduce to that future a freedom from religion that holds us to a sin focus. This frees us to be single minded about being slaves to righteousness. Romans 6:13 Then being made free from sin, you became the slaves of righteousness. This next generation and generations to follow will embrace the presence of the Holy Spirit, the love of Christ in us, and the oneness we get to experience in an intimate relationship with the Father.
This generation needs to establish their identity in Jesus. Our children will sin. The enemy will try to hold them in that sin, plague them with guilt and shame, and separate them from God’s plan for them. We need to teach this generation the freedom of Jesus. The devil will lie and confuse our children. Lies will be believed as truth. But Jesus is truth. He washes EVERY single sin clean, Nothing but the Blood of Jesus!
Turnaround Question
Jesus prayed in John 17:26 “…so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” Knowing this, how much love can we assume God has for us?
Prayer
Father God, we repeat the words of Jesus from Mark 10:14-16 “Let all the little children come to me and never hinder them! Don’t you know that God’s kingdom realm exists for such as these? Listen to the truth I speak: Whoever does not open their arms to receive God’s kingdom like a teachable child will never enter it.”
Our one voice is a cry for reaching children first in our home, city, state, nation and the world. Your Word is the truth, the way and life. No mind or heart is too young to receive this message. Oh God, bless those who deliver this message to the children with the ability to speak in a way that young ears can hear, with words that open young hearts, and with a clarity that young minds can comprehend. In Jesus’ name. Amen
