Welcome to The Turnaround!
Introduction
Today, we focus on a truth that is often difficult to fully grasp: God loves us just as we are. Not as we wish we were, not as we pretend to be, but right now—in the middle of our struggles, doubts, and imperfections. His love is already there.
Insight
We live in a world that constantly tells us we have to earn love—that we must prove ourselves before we are worthy of acceptance. Maybe you’ve felt like you needed to clean yourself up before approaching God, as if His love was something you had to work for.
But Romans 5:8 completely dismantles that mindset. “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Not after we had fixed ourselves, Not after we had made all the right choices, but while we were still sinners.
Let that sink in.
God didn’t wait for us to deserve His love—He loved us at our worst. He saw every failure, every mistake, every moment of shame, and still said, “That one is mine.”
That is grace. That is the Gospel.
You Can Stop Striving
Maybe you’ve been trying to prove yourself. Maybe you’ve been carrying guilt and shame, believing the lie that if you were just a little better, God would love you more. But here’s the truth: God’s love isn’t based on what you do—it’s based on who He is.
• You can stop striving.
• You can stop hiding.
• You can stop trying to earn what is already yours.
God’s love is not a reward for good behavior. It’s a gift given freely, no strings attached. And when we truly receive it, it changes everything.
Turnaround Question
Do you believe that God loves you right now—or are you still trying to earn it?
This is the moment to let go of the lie that says you’re not enough. You don’t have to fix yourself before coming to Him. He already made a way. The only question is—will you receive it?
Prayer
Father,
Thank You for loving me even when I didn’t deserve it. Thank You for seeing me at my worst and choosing me anyway. Help me to let go of my need to prove myself and just receive Your love.
Teach me to live in the freedom of knowing I am fully known and fully loved. Change my heart—not out of obligation, but out of the joy of being loved by You.
I trust You, and I thank You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
